Through the international language of soccer, the LAFC Foundation seeks to help underserved youth and transform impoverished communities worldwide.

The LAFC Foundation is a Pasadena, California-based non-profit organization that builds soccer fields and provides equipment, uniforms and coaching for underserved children and teens. Through partnerships with renowned academic institutions and respected non-profit and community organizations, the LAFC Foundation helps fund the construction of schools, increases educational and employment opportunities and offers easier access to vital healthcare and social services. The Foundation also provides scholarships, tutoring and mentoring through its US nationally ranked youth soccer club.

LAFC aligns itself with individuals and organizations with an established track record of achievement and leadership in their communities. Our partnerships include Duke?s WISER project in Kenya, Mpilonhle, The Shepherd?s Home, USC Institute for Global Health, Roy W. Roberts, II. Boys & Girls Club, City of Huntington Park, ManUp and members of the Clinton Global Initiative. Key program components include:

1. Comprehensive interventions in education, healthcare and job creation for the economically disadvantaged
2. Futbol programs to convene and empower youth and to serve as the link to above interventions
3. Youth focus; Equal opportunity for boys and girls
4. Community ownership
5. Clear exit strategy

LAFC will go into an economically distressed area and build soccer fields, set up leagues, provide coach and referee training, offer clinics and skills training by our world class staff and provide uniforms, cleats and equipment to support these leagues.
